An Evening with Hank Roberts (Music performance only)
On Friday, May 3rd from 6-7:30 PM as a part of Ithaca Gallery Night, internationally renowned improvisational cellist/composer Hank Roberts will be performing solo at 15 Steps on the Commons. In addition to his recent extensive touring schedule in Europe, Canada and the US, with artists such as Bill Frisell, Petra Haden, Rudy Royston, Aurora Nealand and Tim Berne, Hank has been a part of the Ithaca music scene for many years, performing with a host of local talents including his trio with drummer Ashley Ickes and pianist Chad Lieberman. He was the winner in Downbeat magazine’s 2022 Critics Awards for “Rising Star in the Miscellaneous Instrument” category.
