Ryan Knapp: Landscapes

I will be starting a Masters in Landscape Architecture at Cornell in the fall. I am drawn to landscapes, Japanese Gardens and Chinese Penjing. I enjoy long strolls through the vastness of the Fingerlakes National Forest with my dog, Brego. I have a dream of utilizing my (future) degree to create spaces that provide and invite inclusion to my community but most importantly my local ecology. This series of landscape paintings are an opportunity for me to sketch and dispense ideas of how I could create such spaces, while drawing inspiration from my surrounding environment.
