Come to First Friday at Mockingbird for a live calligraphy demonstration! Brenna O’Toole is a calligrapher, painter, and musician in Ithaca, NY. She stumbled upon calligraphy quite by accident in 2014, and her interest quickly grew into an obsession. Drawing inspiration from historical letterforms, Brenna seeks to elevate and interpret words from our shared literary heritage. She has studied the art of beautiful letters with many notable calligraphers, including Yves Leterme, Harvest Crittenden, David McGrail, and Sheila Waters.
