Stitching Youth Foundation: Hand-crafted textiles made by young mothers in Northern Uganda
The Stitching Youth Foundation is an outreach of the Ithaca-based NPO Words into Deeds, which offers tailoring training opportunities and counseling to a group of vulnerable girl-mothers in Northern Uganda, most of whom were victims of molestation - giving them marketable skills as well as hope and optimism. We will be offering their gorgeous backpacks, bags, and other sewn items; all sales will directly support these young women and the future of this training program.
