Peter Gillen: The Nocturnal Café. Communal Studio

Throughout my time being active in Ithaca’s music scene, The Nocturnal Café has always served as a lynch pin in the community providing a space for amazing shows. It is one of those venues that is used so often that I definitely neglect how integral it is. However, after the closing of The Downstairs and the unknown fate of Deep Dive, I wanted to revisit the space that made me fall in love with the Ithaca music scene. My love for this space transcends its boundaries as a venue, the café becomes a studio when I bring my camera here and I am now presenting my portfolio.
