Creating art can be a powerful part of recovery because it gives people a way to express feelings, experiences, and hopes that can sometimes be difficult to put into words. Being creative supports health by encouraging mindfulness, reducing stress, building confidence, and giving people a sense of purpose and accomplishment.

The PROS program (Personalized Recovery Oriented Services), a mental health and substance use day treatment rehabilitation program of Whole Health, has been incorporating art into groups for many years. In 2025, after half of a year of planning, PROS hosted an art show featuring client work in the Mental Health building, a first. In April 2026 TCWH began displaying client works at Brown Road location of Whole Health. These displayed works have reshaped the feel of these buildings over the past year, and we are excited to welcome the community back again this year for our second annual event. This year, we will be showing previously undisplayed work from dozens of service recipients and staff from all of the programs under the Whole Health Umbrella. Fiber arts, paintings, digital works, photography, and other mediums will all be displayed as well as live music and home-made treats. We would love you to visit us October 2nd downtown at 201 E Green Street and see some of the creativity and passion that you may not otherwise see in other spaces.
