Meredith Mallwitz-Meyer: Scenes from the Finger Lakes

Meredith Mallwitz Meyer is a Finger Lakes–based artist whose atmospheric landscape paintings explore light, memory, and the emotional resonance of place. Working from photographs, sketches, and personal experiences, her paintings evolve intuitively in the studio through layered translucent washes that create softness, movement, and luminosity.

Inspired by the quiet beauty of shifting skies, horizon lines, and water, her work captures fleeting moments that feel both familiar and deeply personal. Meyer earned her BFA from the Art Institute of Boston and continued her studies through programs in San Francisco and Florence, Italy.

Her work is held in private collections throughout the United States.
