YANA Gallery: Emil Dahl, Kelsey Strauch, Stacey Strange, Wes Peden; Wild Fly Gallery: Ella Shea, Amelia Modlin
Hupstate Circus Festival 2026 welcomes two visual art shows to downtown Ithaca for Ithaca Gallery Night.
The first YANA gallery - an embodiment of our independent multilingual art magazine that explores what comes out of the brains of jugglers and what a language with objects brings in life. A selection of four projects, collages, paintings, photographs, video and installation celebrating mesmerising balance, poetry of reconciliation, wishful super-powers and imaginary animals anatomy. Featuring works by Emil Dahl, Kelsey Strauch, Stacey Strange, and Wes Peden brought together by Florence Schroeder of Gling Studio.
Wild Fly gallery - from filmmaker, artist, and flying trapezist Ella Shea and painter, acrobat and art director Amelia Modlin. The films Ella Shea made during her BFA in Film and Animation from the Rochester Institute of Technology have found recognition globally through various film festivals. Ella has been inspired to create art about sexuality and identity through the lens of the female gaze. Amelia is the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of the Wild Arts Collective, a non-profit community of artists dedicated to igniting new ideas, living sustainably and sharing access to artful spaces immersed in nature.
